Description
The number and complexity of federal drinking water regulations developed by the USEPA have increased significantly in recent years. The process by which regulations are developed is mysterious to many people, both inside and outside the agency. The minimum legal requirements for regulation development, USEPA’s internal regulatory process, and public involvement are reviewed.
